Flat on the 407 shoulder. Snow tires still stacked in the garage and the first real freeze already here. A slow leak that's been "fine" since August. We load the van, drive to you, and do the work where your car already is — your driveway, your office lot, the side of the road. No tow, no waiting room, no dropping the car off and hoping.

A tire shop with no shop

Istanbul Mobile Tire Service started in 2011 out of a single van and a set of torque sticks, working out of the Bridlepath area of Richmond Hill. The idea was simple and it hasn't changed: most tire work doesn't need a building. It needs someone who knows the torque spec, owns the right equipment, and is willing to show up when they said they would.

Fifteen years later the van is bigger, the compressor is quieter, and the customer list runs from single-car households in Unionville to landscaping crews with nine trucks. We still answer the phone ourselves. We still tell you the price before we leave the driveway. And if a job turns out to be something we can't do properly on site, we say so instead of improvising.

Winter is our season — from the first hard freeze in late October through the thaw in April, the schedule fills two to three days out. Book the swap early. The rest of the year we handle flats, batteries, brakes and the maintenance that's easier to ignore than to book.

Home base is Richmond Hill, just off Elgin Mills. Service calls run throughout Markham, Unionville, Thornhill, Stouffville, Aurora and Newmarket. Anything further out, call and we'll tell you honestly whether it's worth the drive.

How a call works

  1. Call or text the number below with your vehicle, your tire size if you know it, and where the car is sitting.
  2. Get a price on the phone before anything is scheduled — including the call-out.
  3. Pick a window. Same-day is often possible; winter swaps book two to three days ahead.
  4. We come to you with the van, the equipment and the parts, and clean up after.

Payment by cash, debit or e-transfer once the work is done and you've looked it over.
